(i) that the plans have been examined and are approved by bim as showing all such fire service installations and equipment as in his opinion, having regard to the purpose to which the building is intended to be put (which purpose shall be stated in the certificate), comprise the minimum fire service installations and equipment necessary for such building in accordance with a Code of Practice published from time to time by the Director of Fire Services!",

Section 12 of the principal Ordinance is amended-

by the deletion, at the end of paragraph (6) of subsection (6). of the word “or":

(b) by the deletion of the full stop at the end of paragraph (c), of

subsection (6) and the substitution therefor of the following-

(c) by the insertion in subsection (6), after paragraph (c), of the

following new paragraph-

"(d) in the case of a building the plans whereof were certified by the Director of Fire Services in the terms indicated in sub-paragraph (ii) of paragraph (az) of subsection (1) of section 9B, the applicant for the permit fails to produce to the Building Authority a certificate from the Director of Fire Services in such form as may be prescribed certifying that he is satisfied that the fire service installa- tions and equipment shown on the plans aforesaid have been provided and are in efficient working order and satisfactory condition.".

This printed impression has been carefully compared by me with the Bill which passed the Legislative Council on the 8th day of January, 1964, and is found by me to be a true and correctly printed copy of the said Bill.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

I. This Ordinance may be cited as the Societies (Amendment) Short title. Ordinance, 1964,

2. Section 12C of the Societies Ordinance is amended by the Amendment insertion, after the figure "11", of the following-

"or, before the 21st day of July, 1961, subsection (2) of (Cap. 151). section 15".
