(No. 30 of 1960).
MILK (AMENDMENT) BY-LAWS, 1964.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 56 of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, 1960. the Urban Council has made the following by-laws-
1964.
1. These by-laws may be cited as the Milk (Amendment) By-laws, Citation.
2. By-law 5 of the Milk By-laws, 1960 is amended by- (a) being renumbered as paragraph (1) thereof; and (b) the insertion of the following new paragraph-
"(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in paragraph (1), no permit shall be required for the sale in scaled containers of such brands of sterilized milk as the Council may approve, if it is satisfied that there is no danger to public health.”. Made by the Urban Council this 2nd day of June, 1964.

Explanatory Note.
(This Note is not part of the by-laws, but is intended
to indicate their general purport).
The purpose of these by-laws is to allow certain brands of sterilized milk
to be sold in shops without permits. Sterilized milk is widely sold in the United Kingdom in shops other than dairies.
