(b) makes or gives or causes to be made or given any false or incorrect statement or information in any document which he knows or has reason to believe may be used in support of an application for the issue of a certificate of origin,

shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on sum- mary conviction to a fine of ten thousand dollars and imprisonment for one year.".

Section 4 of the principal Ordinance is repealed and replaced by the following-

"Liability of сфитрату, directors etc.

4. (1) Without prejudice to the prosecution of any person for an offence under section 3, where a document în respect of which an offence has been committed under section 3 has been issued or purports to have been issued on behalf of a company, partnership or business—

(a) such company; and

(b) every director, partner and other person concerned

in the management of such company, partnership | || or business, who has or bas had such document ia his possession or under his control,

shall be guilty of an offence unless it is proved that it or be-

(i) took all reasonable precautions against the com-

mission of an offence under section 3, and

(ii) on demand made by or on behalf of the pro- secutor, gave all the information in its or his power with respect to such document.

(2) Any company or person found guilty of an offence under subsection (1) shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine of ten thousand dollars.”,

This printed impression has been carefully compared by me with the Bill which passed the Legislative Counell on the 24th day of April, 1963, and is found by me to be a true and correctly printed copy of the said Bill.

An Ordinance to provide for the incorporation of the Prior in Hong

Kong of the Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance.

[25th April, 1963.]

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Prior of the Order of ston title. Cistercians of the Strict Observance Incorporation Ordinance, 1963.

2. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires- "corporation" means the body incorporated by section 3.

The Prior for the time being in the Colony of the Order of Incorpora- Cistercians of the Strict Observance shall be a corporation sofe and tion. shall have the name of "The Prior in Hong Kong of the Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance" and in that name shall have perpetual succession and may sue and be sued in all courts in the Colony and shall have and may use a common seal.
