Explanatory Note.
Clerk of Counejši
(This Note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general purport).
The purpose of these regulations is to amend the reference to the Building Authority throughout the Places of Public Entertainment Regulations to bring it into line with the definition of the same inserted in the Places of Public Enter- tainment Ordinance, Cap. 172, and, secondly, to make specific provision for the issue and renewal of licences for permanent and semi-permanent structures specially designed as theatres and cinemas. Such licences have always been required under these regulations, but the authority to issue and renew them bas hitherto rested on mere implication.
