An Ordinance to promote the conservation of fish and other forms of aquatic life within the waters of the Colony and to regulate fishing practices and to prevent activities detrimental to the fishing industry.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and

consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows--

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Fisheries Protection Short tide. Ordinance, 1962.

2. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires- "Commissioner" means the Commissioner for Co-operative Develop-

ment and Fisheries;

"fisb" includes all forms of aquatic life and turtles; "fisheries inspector" means an officer appointed under section 3: "fishing" includes the capture of fish;
