(b) on an order made by a judge in that behalf, to be committed to prison for a specified period not exceeding one month and to a fine of one thousand dollars,
and a bailiff of the Court may take the offendler into custody, with or without warrant, and bring him before a judge.
23. Any person who assaults, resists or obstructs an officer of the Court while in the exccution of his duty shall be liable.
(a) on summary conviction to a fine of one thousand dollars and to imprisonment for twelve months:

13. The principal Ordinance is amended by the deletion in sections 24, 25, 26, 28, 31, 33 and 34 of the ward "District" wherever the same

(a) by the addition before the words "a senior crown counsel" of
the following-
"a principal crown counsel.";
(b) by the deletion in subsection (3) of the words "in accordance with the District Court Criminal Procedure Rules" and the substitution therefor of the following-
"in such manner as may be prescribed":
(c) by the deletion in subsection (5) of the words "in the District Court Criminal Procedure Rules" and the substitution therefor of the following---
"io any rules made under section 36"; and
(d) by the deletion in subsection (5) of the word "District",
15. Section 29 of the principal Ordinance is amended-
(a) by the deletion, wherever the same occurs, of the word
"District":

(6) by the deletion, wherever the same occur, of the words "District Judge" and the substitution therefor of the following-
"judge”: and
(c) by the deletion in subsection (1) of the words "to the District Court Criminal Procedure Rules" and the substitution therefor of the following-
"as may be prescribed".
16. Sections 30 and 35 of the principal Ordinance are amended by Amendment the deletion of the words "District Judge and the substitution therefor of sections of the following-
"judge".
17. Section 32 of the principal Ordinance is amended-
(a) by the deletion of the word "District"; and
(b) by the deletion of the words "District Judge" and the substitu-
tion therefor of the following-
"judge".

18. Section 36 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the Amendment deletion of the words "The District Court Rules Committee may make of section 36. rules (to be known as the District Court Criminal Procedure Rules)"
and the substitution therefor of the following-
"The Rules Committee may make rules”.
19. The principal Ordinance is amended by the deletion of the Amendment First Schedule and the Fourth Schedule.
