An Ordinance further to amend the District Court Ordinance, 1953.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-
1.
This Ordinance may be cited as the District Court (Amend- Short title. ment) (No. 2) Ordinance, 1962.
2. The District Court Ordinance, 1953 is amended by the addition, Addition of after section 32, of the following new section-

32A. An appeal shall lie at the suit of the Attorney (1 of 1953). General to the Full Court against a verdict or order of acquittal, which shall include any order quashing or dis- missing a charge for any alleged defect therein or want of jurisdiction. Such an appeal shall relate to matters of law only and the following procedure shall apply thereto-
(a) within seven clear days after the reasons for a verdict have been recorded or after the order of acquittal, or within such further period as a Judge
