3. Section 20 of the principal Ordinance is amended in sub-

of section 20. section (1) by the deletion of paragraph (iv) and the substitution therefor

of the following-

"(iv) make any such order as aforesaid but suspend the application thereof, subject to such conditions as the Council may think fit, for a period, or periods in the aggregate, not exceeding two years,”.

Section 29 of the principal Ordinance is amended-

of section 39.

(a)

in subsection (1) by the deletion of the words "foreign country”

and the substitution therefor of the following--

"foreign or Commonwealth country", and

(6) by the deletion of subsection (3).4

An Ordinance to amend the Pensions Ordinance, Chapter 89.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and

consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Pensions (Amendment) Sbort alle. Ordinance. 1962.

(Спр. 89).

2. Section 2 of the Pensions Ordinance (hereinafter referred to as Amendment the principal Ordinance) is amended by the deletion of the definition of section 2.

"public service" and the substitution therefor of the following- *"public service" means-

(a) service in a civil capacity under the Government of the Colony

or any other country or territory in the Commonwealth;

(b) service under the East Africa High Commission, the East African Railways and Harbours Administration, the East African Posts and Telecommunications Administration or the East African Common Services Organization:
