Frovided that the Direatur may assess the duty on intoxicating
liquora, not specified in Part I or II, at the rate prescribed for liquor which in his opinion most dearly approximates to the liquor on which duty is to be assessed;
Provided also that the Director may in his discretion assess the
daty on any quantity of liquor of less than two gallons, imported at any time in one consigament, at 250 per gallon.
(3) Dutiable Commodities Ordinance. Chapter 109
The Financial Secretary to move the following resolution :*
Resolved pursuant to section 4 of the Dutiable Commodities
Ordinance, Chapter 109, that the DUTY ON METHEL ALCOHOL en set forth in Notification No. 4.27 in the Gazette of the 22nd March, 1957, as modified by Notification No. 4.80 ia the Gazette of the 19th December, 1958, be revoked with effect from 2 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday,
28th February, 1962, and that thereaftar duty shall, be payable on methyl alcohol, other than methyl alcohol which is shown to the satisfaction of the Director to be intended for use and which is in fact used solely in the testing of aircraft engines, at the rate of 27.50 per gallon and in addition, for every one per cent by which the strength of methyl alcohol by volume exceeds 25 per cent, 30 cents per gallon.
(4) Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Bill, 1962.
The Attorney General to move the First reading of :-
