PEARL CULTURE (Control) (Amendment) REGULATIONS, 1961,

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of the Pearl Culture (Control) Ordinance, 1958, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations-

1. These regulations may be cited as the Pearl Culture (Control) Citation. (Amendment) Regulations, 1961.

2. Regulation 4 of the Pearl Culture (Control) Regulations, 1959 Amendment is amended-

Explanatory Note.

This Note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general purport).

This measure is consequential upon the enactment of the Pearl Culture (Control) (Amendment) Ordinance, 1960, which, inter alfa, provided that where a temporary licence to cultivate pearl oysters was followed by a licence, the period of the licence should not be inclusive of the period covered by the temporary licence. The effect of this measure is to bring the regulations into fine with that amendment,
