(b) in subsection (4) by the deletion of the words "if there is an amount not exceeding two thousand five hundred dollars payable out of his account in respect of such death, such amount shall be deemed" and the substitution therefor of the following-
"the first five thousand dollars, or soch lesser amount as there may be, payable out of such contributor's account in respect of his death shall be deemed”.
3. (1) Rule 14 of the Third Schedule to the principal Ordinance is amended by the addition after paragraph (2) of the following new paragraph-

"(3) Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph (2), the amount of any dividend. declared in accordance with the pro- visions of rule 17, in respect of an account which was closed in accordance with the provisions of rule 13 on or after the 31st day of August in any year and before the next. following annual general meeting of the board, shall be paid to the person entitled to payment of the sum standing to the credit of such account and the amount of any debit sum due out of such account may be deducted from the balance standing to the credit of such account or may be recovered from such person, up to the limit of the amount paid to him out of such account.",
(2) Subsection (1) shall be deemed to have had effect from the 19th day of December, 1952.

An Ordinance further to amend the Registration of Persons Ordinance,
1960.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and Shor the. consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Registration of Persons Repeal and (Amendment) (No. 2) Ordinance, 1961.
replacement of section 7.
2. Section 7 of the Registration of Persons Ordinance, 1960, is (18 of 1960). repealed and replaced by the following— "Power of BITESt.
7. (1) The Commissioner of Registration may, in the absence of a police officer, arrest without warrant any person who he reasonably believes has committed an offence against this Ordinance or the regulations made thereunder.
(2) The Director of Immigration or any member of the Immigration Service authorized in writing for the pur- poses of this section by the Director of Immigration may arrest without warrant any person who be reasonably
