An Ordinance further to amend the Fire Brigade Ordinance, 1954.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and

consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Fire Brigade (Amendment) Short title. Ordinance, 1960.

2. Section 2 of the Fire Brigade Ordinance, 1954, (hereinafter Amendment referred to as the principal Ordinance) is amended by the insertion of section 2. before the definition "Chief Officer" of the following new definition-

'"calamity" means an occurrence by which life or property is

endangered:",

3. Section 7 of the principal Ordinance is amended-

(a) in paragraph (b) by the insertion after the word "fire" of the

following-

"or other calamity"; and

(32 of 1954).
