As Ordinance to codify the law relating to marine insurance.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and

consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Marine Insurance Short title. Ordinance, 1961.

2. (1) A contract of marine insurance is a contract whereby the Marine insurer undertakes to indemnify the assured, in manner and to the incurance extent thereby agreed, against marine losses, that is to say, the losses incident to marine adventure.
