Explanatory Note.

(This Note is not part of the regulations, but ix intended to indicate their general purport),

These regulations amend the Education Regulations, 1952, to clarify the position of the Director of Education in relation to copyright legislation, by the Substitution for the present requirement that every document (which is defined by the Education Ordinance, 1952, to include any textbook, film strip, etc.) used in a school shall be previously approved by the Director, of a requirement that no docuncat shall be used walesa particulars thereof have been previously furnished to the Director and giving to the Director power to require that a copy of any document shall be deposited with him and to control the use of any document In a school,

TELECOMMUNICATION ORDINANCE,

(Chapter 106).

RADIOCOMMUNICATION (Exemption) Order, 1960.

Ip exercise of the powers conferred by section 40 of the Telecom- munication Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following Order-

1. This Order may be cited as the Radiocommunication Cluation, (Exemption) Order, 1960,

2. Upon the issue to a blind person of a ticence for a broadcast Exemption receiving station under the Radiocommunication Regulations, such from pay-

ment of fee. person shall, upon production of satisfactory proof to the licensing

(VOL IX. authority that he is duly registered as a blind person with the Director p. 216. of Social Welfare, be exempted from payment of the fee of dollars twenty prescribed under paragraph (1) of regulation 15.
