Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

I.

PART L

Preliminary.

This Ordinance may be cited as the Mental Health Ordinance, Short title 1960, and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the and com Governor by Proclamation in the Gazette.

2. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires- "certified patient" means a person who is detained in a mental hospital

in accordance with the provisions of section 36;
