(1) Urban Council (Commissioner for Resettlement) Ordinance. 199
The Colonial Secretary to move the following resolution 1-
Resolved, pursuant to section 3 of the Urban Council
(Commissioner for Resettlement) Ordinoce, 1954, that the duration of the suid Ordinance be extended for the term of one year with effect from the 30th April, 1960.
(2) Samiratan Fund - Resolution.
The Attorney General to move the following resolution :-
WHEREAS it la considered advisable to standardize, so far as may be, with those of other similar Funds the condi- tions relating to the preparation, auditing and submission of the annual atatement of the accounts of the Samaritan Fund which were approved by Resclatina of this Council dated the 24th May, 1950, confirming and approving the conditions governing the administration of the said Fund, and specified in the Schedule to such Resolution;
NOW THEREFORE be it Resolved by this Council that the Schedule to the said Resolution dated the 24th May, 1950, be amended in the manner apsoified in the Schedule bereto.
Schedule.
Paragraphs 5 and 6 of the Schedulo to the Legislative Council Resolution dated the 24th May, 1950, confirming and approving the conditious governing the administration of the Samaritan Fund are cancelled and replaced by the following new paragraph
5. (1) The Principal Almoner shall cause proper accounta to be kept of all transactions of the Fund and shall cause to be prepared for every period of twelve months ending on the 31st day of March in each year a atatement of the accounts of the Fund, which statement shall include an income and expendi- ture account and balance sheet and shall be signed by the Principal Almoner.
(2) The accounts of the Fund and the signed atatement of the accounts shall be audited by an auditor appointed by the Governor and the auditor shall certify the statement subject to such report, if any, as he may think fit.
(3) A copy of the signed and audited statement of account together with the auditor's report, if any, and a report by the Principal Almoner on the adminis- tretion of the Fund during the period covered by the nudited accounts shall be laid on the Table of the Legislative Council not later than the 30th day of September next following the end of such period or so soon thereafter as the Governor, in his absolute discretion, may allow.".
