Regulation 4 provides that the register shall consist of the application forms submitted and as kept up to date by the Commissioner.

3. The fees chargeable under regulation 7 are for the issue of a certified copy of a document kept by the Commissioner under the Ordinance, and for the issue of duplicate business registration certificates issued by the Commissioner to a person required to exhibit it at his places of business.

4. Regulation & exempts the business of bootblack and all such hawkers aš are required to be licensed under the Hawkers By-laws other than those hawkers carrying on business within the main structure of any building. This exception is made on the grounds that these hawkers are usually carrying on a substantial business: but they will, however, be exempted from the payment of fees under section 9 of the Ördinance if their profits are small,

HONG KONG AUXILIARY POLICE FORCE (Pensions) REGULATIONS,

1959.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 of the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force Ordinance. 1959, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations-

ment

1. These regulations may be cited as the Hong Kong Auxiliary Cluation and Police Force (Pensions) Regulations, 1959, and shall come into commer operation on the day appointed for the commencement of the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force Ordinance, 1959.

1. In calculating, for the purpose of determining the amount of Provisions as any pension which may be payable under these regulations, the amount to sakulation of pay which was payable to any member at the date or time of the injury as a result of which the pension has become payable, it shall be presumed that the member had been called out for active service not- withstanding that he had been called out under subsection (2) of section 16 of the Ordinance for the purpose of training or of assisting the Police Force or was under instruction.

3.

If a member is permanently injured—

(a) in the actual discharge of his duty; and

(b) without his own default; and

() on account of circumstances specifically attributable to the

nature of bis duty,

he may be granted a pension at the annual rate of the proportion of his pay at the date of his injury appropriate to his case as shown in the following table-
