An Ordinance to amend the Wild Birds and Wild Mammals Protection

Ordinance, 1954.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Wild Birds and Wild Short title. Mammals Protection (Amendment) Ordinance, 1959.

2. Section 2 of the Wild Birds and Wild Mammals Protection Amendment Ordinance, 1954 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Ordinance) of section 2. is amended by the deletion of the definitions of "forest officer" and 8 of 1954). "licensing authority”.

3. The principal Ordinance is amended by the addition after Addition of section 2 of the following new section-

2A. The Director of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry shall be the licensing authority for the purpose of this Ordinance.".
