An Ordinance further to amend the Corporal Punishment Ordinance,

1954.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Corporal Punishment Short pille, (Amendment) Ordinance, 1959.

2. The Corporal Punishment Ordinance, 1954, is amended by the Amendment deletion therefrom (and from the marginal notes thereto) of the words of Corporal "whipped" and "whipping" wherever they occur therein and the sub- Ordinance. stitution therefor of the words "caned” and “caning" respectively. (39 of 1954).

Punishment

The Ordinances specified in the first column of the Schedule Consequential are amended to the extent and in the manner set out in the second amendments. column.
