(a) In the event of there being no quorum at a meeting, the meeting shall stand adjourned to the same day in the next week at the same time and place, or to such other day, time and place as the Chairman may by notice to the members appoint. At such adjourned meeting, the Chairman and two Ordinary or ex-officio Members may transact the business for which the meeting was called.

It is required of all members of the Association that they

undertake to further at all times the objects of the Association as set out in section 4 of the Ordinance; (b) maintain ethical standards at all times in the conduct of their business, discouraging malpractices contrary to the interests of the tourists;

(e) employ for the purposes of their business only such guides as are registered as being affiliated to the Association;

(4) inform the Board in writing of any changes in the Directors of the member company or the partners of the member partnership or the principal officers of the mem- ber association as the case may be.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance, 1955, the Com- missioner of Labour has made the following regulations-

1. These regulations may be cited as the Factories and Citation Industrial Undertakings (Amendment) Regulations, 1958, and sad com shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1959.

1. Regulation z of the Factories and Industrial Under- Amendment takings Regulations, 1955 (hereinafter referred to as the principal fina regulations) is amended-

(4) by the insertion after the definition of the expression

"mill-gearing" of the following new definition-

"period of employment" means the period (inclusive of the time allowed for meals and rest) within which persons may be employed on any day;"';

(b) by the substitution of a semicolon for the full stop at

the end thereof;

(c) by the insertion after the definition of the expression

"tertement factory" of the following new definitions...-

* "week" means the period between midnight on Saturday night and midnight on the succeeding Saturday night;

"woman" means a woman who has attained the age

of eighteen years;

"working" hours" means the time during which persons employed are at the disposal of the employer, exclusive of any intervals allowed for rest and meals; and "hours worked" has a corresponding meaning.".
