3. Section 3 of the principal Ordinance is amended by-

(a) the deletion of the brackets and figure "(1)" after the

figure "3";

(b) the repeal of subsection (2) thereof.

Sections 5 and 10 of the principal Ordinance are amended by the deletion therefrom of the words "of Patents**.

Section 8 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the deletion of subsection (2) and the substitution therefor of the following.

"(2) Such grounds shall be deemed to include the manufacture, use or sale of the invention in the Colony before the priority date applicable to the patent in the United Kingdom, but not to include the manu- facture, use or sale of the invention in the Colony by some person or persons after the priority date applica- ble to the patent in the United Kingdom and before the date of the issue of the certificate of registration under section 5.

In this subsection the expression "priority date" has the meaning assigned to it in section 5 of the Patents Act, 1949.".

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Pharmacopoeia Short title. Ordinance, 1958.
