13. Section 16 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the insertion, after the word and comma "administered,"", of the following-

"or that the composition of the management committee is not such as is likely to ensure the cfficient administra- tion of the school,**.

14. Section 18 of the principal Ordinance is repealed and replaced by the following-

"Reglatra. tion of manager.

18. (1) Upon due application by any person for registration as a manager of a school, the Director shall, subject to the provisions of subsection (2) and of section 19 and after such inquiry as may be necessary, register the applicant as a manager of the school of which he seeks to be a manager and shall notify the manager in the prescribed form of his registration.

(a) No person shall be registered as a manager of a school of which there is already one registered manager or a management committed unless the application is accompanied by a written recommenda- tion signed by the registered manager or a majority of the management committee as the case may be.".

Amendment 15. Section 19 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the deletion from paragraph (b) of the words "to be given permission to teach as an unregistered teacher under this Ordinance or under the Education Ordinance, 1913” and the substitution therefor of the following-

"in any application under section 26 or in any applica- tion under the Education Ordinance, 1913. for per- mission to teach".

16. Section 20 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the Amendment insection, after subsection (1), of the following new subsection- 20.

"(rA) If the Director is satisfied that a person register- ed as a manager of any school is, in the opinion of a majority of the members of the management committee, unacceptable as a manager, the Director shall cancel the registration of that person as manager of that school.".

(b) the deletion, from paragraph (f), of the words "to be given permission to teach as an unregistered teacher" and the substitution therefor of the following-

"in any application under section 26".

20. Section 24 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the Amendment insertion in paragraph (b) after the word "misconduct of the of section following
