PESSIONS (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1957.

In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (1) of section

of the Pensions Ordinance, the Governar in Council, with the sanction of the Secretary of State, has made the following regula- tions-

180. (1) In the application of regulation 18 Vol. IX, where the pensionable emoluments for a period prior p. 0). to the first day of April, 1956, of an officer, who bas exercised his option of accepting the terms of the Salaries Revision, 1956, are required to be taken into account, there shall be taken into account in lieu of such pensionable emoluments the pensionable emolu- ments which such officer would have enjoyed during such period had he been subject at the commencement of such period to a scale of pay operative in this Colony on the first day of April, 1956, in consequence of the Salaries Revision, 1956, if this shall be to an officer's advantage.

(2) "Salaries Revision, 1956" shall mean for the purposes of this regulation the revision of salaries effected as at the first day of April, 1956, arising out of the implementation of the Report on the Review of Professional, Administrative and Superscale Salaries, 1956.

(3) If any question arises as to whether any salary is according to a scale of pay operative in the Colony in consequence of the Salaries Revision, 1956, the decision thereon of the Governor in Council shall be final.
