Paid drivers.

Disqualifi- cations.

8. An applicant or a licence holder who desires or intends to drive a motor vehicle in return for a salary or other remunera- tion shall notify the Commissioner of this fact and if required by the Commissioner shall permit impressions of his fingers to be taken in such manner as the Commissioner may direct and, in the case of a licence holder, if so required, shall produce his driving licence to the Commissioner for endorsement.

J. (1) A person shall be disqualified from obtaining a driving licence

(0) while another driving licence issued to him is in force.

whether such licence is suspended or not;

(b) if by conviction under the Ordinance or by an order of a court or magistrate in the Colony, be is disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence.

(2) In any proceedings the fact that a driving licence has been issued to a person shall be evidence that that person for the purpose of obtaining that licence made a declaration that he was not disqualified from holding or obtaining the licence.

(3) If any person is aggrieved by the refusal of the Com- missioner to issue a driving licence he, after giving the Commis- sioner notice of his intention so to do, muy appeal to the Governor in Council and on such appeal the Governor in Council may make such order as he thinks fit and any order so made shall be binding on the Commissioner.

8. (1) On the application for the issue of a driving licence, Atness of

(2) If, from the declaration, it appears to the Commissioner that the applicant is suffering from any such disease or disability, the Commissioner shall refuse to issue the driving licence:

Provided that-

(a) a driving licence limited to driving an invalid carriage may be granted to the applicant if the Commissioner is satisfied that the applicant is lit to drive an invalid carriage;

(6) the applicant may, except in the case of such diseases

(3) If it appears to the Commissioner that there is reason to believe that any person, who holds a driving licence, is suffering from a disease or physical disability Hable to cause the driving by him of a motor vehicle, being a motor vehicle of any such class or description as he is authorized by the driving licence to drive, to be a source of danger to the public and, after making such inquiry as he considers necessary, the Commissioner is satisfied that the licence holder so suffering as aforesaid has previously passed a test under this regulation the Commissioner, after giving to the licence holder notice of such intention, may revoke the driving licence :

Provided that a licence holder except in the case of such diseases and disabilities as set forth in the First Sechedule may claim to be subjected to a rest as to his fitness or ability to drive a motor vehicle, and if he passes the prescribed test, the driving licence shall not be revoked or, if it has already been revoked, it shall be returned to the licence holder and the revocation thereof shall be rescinded.

(4) A licence holder who has received from the Commissioner the notice referred to in paragraph (3) of this regulation shail deliver his driving licence to the Commissioner for cancellation within seventy-two hours of receipt of such notice.
