EXCLUDED FERRIES (AMENDMest) RegulaTIONS, 1956,

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Ferries Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations

1. These regulations may be cited as the Excluded Ferries Citation. (Amendment) Regulations, 1956.

The proviso to regulation 2 of the Excluded Ferries Ataendment

of proviso Regulations, 1955, is amended by the deletion of the figures and

to regula- comma "1956," and the substitution therefor of the following- tion 2.

Explanatory Note.

(This Note is not part of the ruler, but is intended to

indicate their general purport).

The new Second Schedule will have the effect of increasing the annual revenue from permit fees to an amount which will approximate more closely to the annual recurrent costs of administration, maintenance and sanitation of the resettlement areas. At the same time the perimit fee structure has been simplified so na to facilitate the Introduction of a new systers for the collection of permit fees by mobile unita.
