An Ordinance to amend the Co-operative Societies Ordinance,

Chapter 33.

[23rd November, 1956.]

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the

advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Co-operative Societies Short title, (Amendment) Ordinance, 1956.

2. The Co-operative Societies Ordinance is amended by the Addition

of new addition, after section 58, of the following new section—

Bection 50. (Cap. 33).

"Punish- ment of Crund or misappro- priation. [of. 56 & 67 Vict. c. 39, 4.64)

59. If any person obtains possession by false representation or imposition of any property of a society, or having it in his possession withholds or misapplies it, or wilfully applies any part thereof to purposes other than those expressed or directed in the rules of the society, and authorized by this Ordinance,
