(b) the deletion of the definition of "officer of the Sanitary. Department", and the substitution therefor of the follow- ing definition-

" "officer of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry" includes any person working under the direction of the Director for the purpose of this Ordinance;".

Section 5 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the deletion from subsection (1) of the words "Sanitary Department, or in respect of the New Territories any police officer or any! officer duly authorized by the District Commissioner," and the substitution therefor of the following-

"Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Fores

try".

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Public Health (Food) Short title (Amendment) Ordinance, 1956, and shall come into operation on
