Presump- tion as Lo change

(e) has in his possession an identification book which has,

without lawful nuthority, been defaced or otherwise I altered,

shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable to a line of five thousand dollars and imprisonment for two years.

(2) Any person against whom a police supervision order has been made under subsection (3) of section 3 shall during the currency of such order, be guilty of an offence and shall be liable to a fine of five thousand dollars and imprisonment for two years in the following circumstances or any of them-

(4) if on his being charged by a police officer with getting his livelihood by dishonest means and being brought before a magistrate, it appears to a magistrate that there are reason- able grounds for believing that he is getting his livelihood by dishonest means; or

(b) if he is found in any place, whether public or private, in such circumstances as to satisfy the magistrate before whom he is brought that he was about to commit or to aid in the commission of any offence or was waiting for an opportunity to commit or aid in the commission of any offence; or

(c) if he is found in or upon any dwelling house, or any building, yard or premises, being parcel of and attached to such dwelling house or in or upon any shop, warehouse, counting-house or other place of business, or in any garden, orchard, pleasure ground or nursery ground, or in any building or erection in any garden, orchard, pleasure ground or nursery ground, without being able to account to the satisfaction of the magistrate before whom he is brought for his being found on such premises.

13. For the purposes of this Ordinance a person against whom

a police supervision order has been made who is absent for two

of residence, consecutive nights from his registered place of residence shall be

deemed to have changed his place of residence.

Evidence.

14. In any legal proceedings-

(a) a police supervision order, signed by the Clerk of Councils, the Colonial Secretary, a judge or a magistrate, or a copy of such order certified by the Clerk of Councils, the Colonial Secretary, a judge or a magistrate, shall be

deemed to be conclusive evidence that the order was duly and validly made and issued against the person named in the order and that the order was made on the date therein specified;

(b) any document which purports to be a police supervision order and to be signed by the Clerk of Councils, the Catonial Secretary, a judge or a magistrate, and any document which purports to be a copy of sucli order and to be certified by the Clerk of Councils, the Colonial Secretary, a judge or a magistrate, shall, until the contrary is proved be deemed respectively to be such an order signed by the Clerk of Councils, the Colonial Secretary, a judge or a magistrate or to be a copy of such an order certified by the Clerk of Councils, the Colonial Secretary. a judge or a magistrate;

(e) an endorsement in Form 7 in the Second Schedule on any Second

original police supervision order purporting to be signed Form

Schedule. by a police officer or by a police interpreter shall, until the contrary is proved, be deemed sufficient evidence that a copy of the said order was duly served on and explained to the person named in such order as stated in such endorsement;

(4) an endorsement on a police supervision order under section 5 purporting to be signed by the Commissioner of Prisons and an endorsement on a police supervision order under subsection (2) of section 9 purporting to be signed by a police officer shall, until the contrary is proved, be deemed to be sufficient evidence of the matters set forth therein;

(e) an entry in the identification book of a person against whom a police supervision order has been made porport- ing to show that a date and place has been appointed for the purpose of reporting, shall, until the contrary is proved, be deemed sufficient evidence that the date and place endorsed on such identification book was the date and place appointed at which such person should attend and report;

(f) it shall, until the contrary is proved, be presumed that the thumbprints on any police supervision order are those of the person against whom the order was made;
