An Ordinance to amend the Urban Council Ordinance, 1955.

[1st February, 1956.]

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

and com- mencement.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Urban Council Short title. (Amendment) Ordinance, 1956, and shall come into operation on the 1st day of February, 1956.

Section 2 of the Urban Council Ordinance (hereinafter Amend- referred to as the principal Ordinance) is amended by the deletion ment of of the definition of "annual election" and the addition after the (14 of definition of "Health Officer" of the following-

section 2
