(b) every fly wheel, pulley and exposed wheel shall be securely [enced, and every set screw and bolt shall be cut off or countersunk;
(e) every driving belt passing through a door shall be securely fenced to u beight of six and a half feet from such floor;
(d) every driving helt used for main driving or counter driving and within six and a half feet from the floor or other place to which workers have access shall be securely fenced;
(c) every part, under which persons are likely to pass, of
every overhead driving belt more than four inches wide. shall be adequately protected by wood or metal guards; (A) all shafting which runs at a height of less than six and a half feet from a floor or other place to which workers have access shall be securely fenced;
(g) such moving parts of any machine as are adjacent to any place to which workers have access shall be securely fenced; and
(k) all fencing must be constantly maintained in an efficient state while the parts required to be fenced are in motion or use, except where they are under repair or examina- tion in connexion with repair or are necessarily exposed for the purpose of cleaning or lubricating or for altering the gearing or arrangements of the parts of the machine.
19. In every registrable workplace--
(4) all platforms, pits and openings in floors and every other
place liable to be dangerous to persons; and
(b) all vessels containing any scalding, corrosive or
poisonous liquid,
shall be securely fenced to a height of not less than three feel or otherwise protected to the satisfaction of the Commissioner.
20. (0) No woman or young person shall be permitted to clean any dangerous part of the machinery in a registrable work- place while the machinery is in motion by the aid of any mechanical power. For the purpose of this paragraph such parts of the machinery shall be presumed to be dangerous as are notified by an inspector to the proprietor of the registrable workplace.

(2) No woman or young person shall be permitted to clean any mill-gearing while such mill-gearing is in motion for the purpose of propelling any part of the machinery in a registrable workplace.

25. (1) Where, in any registrable workplace, any inflam- Power to

(2) The proprietor of any registrable workplace in which smoking or the use of naked lights is prohibited in accordance with the provisions of paragraph (1) shall take such steps to enforce the prohibition as the Commissioner may by notice in writing direct.
