Explanatory Note.

It has been decided to increase the fees for the Government mooring buoys and an amendment of regulation 13 of the Merchant Shipping (Contral of Ports) Regulations, 1953, is necessary for the purpose. The amendment to the Sixth Appendix of the aforesaid regulations brings the retaining wall at Gia Drinker's Bay within the prohibited areas under regulation 25(3) of the said regulations. This is necessary for the protec- tion of the said retaining wall and to facilitate the reclamation work at Gin Drinker's Bay. Contravention of regulation 25(8) constitutes an offence under regulation 34(1),

It is hereby notified that paragraph 8(1) of Gazette Notification No. A.8g of gth September, 1955, is amended by the substitution of the words "at plenipotentiary and administrative conferences, on the Administrative Council, on consultative committees, for the words "at the World Meteorological Congress, on the Executive Committee, at regional associations, on technical commissions,”.
