the cause is set down in the general hearing list, deposit with the Registrar a sum sufficient to cover the expenses of the special or common jury as the case may be.
(2) If such deposit be not made the cause shall be heard by the court without a jury.
(3) The expenses of the special or common jury shall be treated as costs in the cause, and shall be awarded and apportioned in the manner provided by the Code of Civil Procedure."
Section 30 of the principal Ordinance is amended--
(a) by the insertion in subsection (1) after the words "twenty-
five dollars each" of the following-
1
", and of common jurors, ten dollars each,."; and
(b) by the deletion from the first line of subsection (a) of the
word "special".

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows
