Amend- ment of First Schedule.

Section 17A of the principal Ordinance is repealed and replaced by the following section-

17A. (1) The Governor in Council may by order deportation rescind any deportation order made under the provi- sions of section 3 or of section 8 as substituted by the Deportation of Aliens (Amendment) Ordinance, 1948, now repealed.

(2) The Governor may by order rescind any deportation order made under the provisions of section 8 as substituted by the Deportation of Aliens (Amend- ment) Ordinance, 1949.

(3) Any order made under the provisions of this section may be conditional on the person who is subject to such order appearing before a imagistrate within -a period to be stipulated in such order and entering into a recognizance with or without sureties to keep the peace and to be of good behaviour for a period not cxceeding three years, and in any sum not exceeding in all five hundred dollars..

(4) In the event of such person being convicted of any offence within the period during which the re- cognizance is enforceable, the recognizance may be forfeited and the sureties if any compelled to pay the sums for which they are respectively bound as if such recognizance had been entered into in accordance with the provisions of section 60 of the Magistrates (Cap. 227), Ordinance."

5. The First Schedule to the principal Ordinance is amended-

(a) by the deletion of Forms 10 and 11;

(b) by the deletion in the second line of paragraph 1 of Form

12 of the brackets and figure "(3)".
