An Ordinance to amend the Crown Rights (Re-entry) Ordinance,

Chapter 136.

[23rd December, 1935.]

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Crown Rights Short title. (Re-entry) (Amendinent) Ordinance, 1955.

2. Section 7 of the Crown Rights (Re-entry) Ordinance (hereinafter referred to as the principal Ordinance) is repealed and replaced by the following- "Power to order can- cellation

of re- entry.

7. (1) The Governor in Council on any petition under section 4 may order, and shall be deemed al- ways to have had power to order, the cancellation of the memorial of re-entry so far as the same affects the lands and tenements in respect of which the petition has been presented upon such terms as to costs, expenses, damages, compensation, penalty or other- wise as he shall in his absolute discretion deem fit.
