WHEREAS the expenditure required for the service of this Colony for the financial year ending on the 31st day of March. 1956, hus been estimated at the sum of four hundred and forty-nine million, forty-five thousand nine hundred and fifty dollars:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Appropriation Short (1955-56) Ordinance, 1955.
