crops by way of compensation such sum of money not exceeding two hundred and fifty dollars as a magistrate or District Officer may, in a summary manner, determine.

(2) Any compensation awarded under the provisions of sub- section (1) shall be paid within seven days of the determination of the magistrate or District Officer.

18. Where a person is convicted of an offence against this Ordinance, the court before which he is convicted shall have power to order that any mammal, bird, nest or egg in relation to which the offence was committed be forfeited to the Crown.

20. The Governor in Council may, by order, vary, add to or delete from any of the Schedules.

21. The Wild Animals Protection Ordinance, the Wild Birds Ordinance and the Wild Birds Regulations are hereby repealed: Provided that nothing in this Ordinance shall be deemed to render invalid any game licence issued under the Wild Birds Ordinance so repealed, and any such licence which is unexpired at the com- mencement of this Ordinance shall be deemed to have been issued under and subject to the provisions of this Ordinance.

FOURTH SCHEDULE,

Areas in which hunting and the carrying of firearms are prohibited. Areo A. The Tai Po Kau Forestry Reserve in the vicinity of the bridge across the Tai Po Kau atream near milestone 141 on the main Kowloon- Taipo Road, being the catchment ares of the Tai Pa Kau stream, bounded on the north by, but excluding, the main Kowloon-Taipo Road; on the cast and south by a line running southwards from a point on the main road 300 yards cast of the bridge and following the crest of the hills to Talpo Parr, thence westwards to the summit of Grassy Hill; and bounded on the weat and northwest by a line following the crest of the hills from Grassy Hill in a northwesterly direction to the nearest point of the main road 200 yards northwest of the bridge near milestone 141.

Area B. The Kowloon Reservoirs Direct Catchment Area, being all that area in the vicinity of milestone 51 on the main Kowloon-Taipa Road comprising the four Kowloon Reservoirs and the slopes of the bills drain- ing directly into these reservoira, but excluding the main Kowloon-Taipo Road.

Area C. The Kowloon Reservoirs Indirect Catchment Area, being an ares bounded on the north by the path along the whole length of the Beacon Hill catcbwater running eastwards from the vicinity of milestone 5 on the main Kowloon-Taipo Road; on the east by a line from the eastern end of the catchwater southwards to Crown Point and Lion Rock; on the south by a line running westwards from Lion Rock along the creat of the Kowloon Hills to Beacon Hill, thence westwards to the crest of the bills overlooking the Kowloon Reservoirs; and on the west by the Kowloon Reservoirs Direct Catchment Area,
