BE it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Magistrates (Amend- Short title, ment) Ordinance, 1954, and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor by proclamation in the Gazette.

2. Section 82 of the Magistrates Ordinance (hereinafter Amendment referred to as the principal Ordinance) is amended by the deletion of section
82 (Cap. from the last two lines of subsection (4) of the following-
227),
"and transmitted together with the depositions of the witnesses for the prosecution as is hereinafter men- tioned".
