(4) Every game licence shall be subject to any variations of, additions to or deletions from the First Schedule (which specifies the mammals and birds classified as game and the close seasons therefor) made from time to time under the provisions of section
20.
(5) Every game licence may be revoked at any time by the licensing authority at his discretion if the holder thereof is con- victed of any offence against this Ordinance or fails to observe any of the conditions of the licence, or shoots to the danger of the public.
(6) Every game licence shall be valid for one year from the date on which it is issued.
(7) If the licensing authority is satisfied that a game licence has been lost or destroyed or accidentally defaced, he may at his discretion issue a duplicate thereof on payment of a fee of five dollars.
13. Where any person is charged with an offence against section 7 or 8, it shall be presumed until the contrary is proved that any mammal, bird, nest or egg in his possession was killed or taken within the Colony.
14. The Governor may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint fit and proper persons to be honorary game wardens for the purpose of assisting in the carrying out of the provisions of this Ordinance.
16. (1) if any justice of the peace or honorary game warden has reasonable grounds for believing that any person has been hunting or is about to hunt, he may require such person to produce for inspection any mammal or bird or any part thereof in his pos session and any game licence issued to him under the provisions of this Ordinance.
(a) If any justice of the peace or honorary game warden has reasonable grounds for believing that any person has committed an offence against this Ordinance, he may-
(a) seize any mammal or bird or any part thereof in the pos-
session of such person;
(b) require such person to accompany him to the nearest
police station.
(3) If any forest officer has reasonable grounds for believing that any person has, in any area specified in the Fourth Schedule, Fourth committed an offence against this Ordinance he may arrest and Schedule, detain such person and seize any mammal or bird or any part thereof in his possession.
18. (1) Notwithstanding any of the provisions of this Ordin- Governor's ance, it shall be lawful for the Governor, upon such conditions as Permit. he thinks fit, to grant to any person a permit, to be called a Governor's Permit, which shall entitle the holder to hunt the mammals or birds specified therein for scientific or other purposes.
(*) Such permit shall, notwithstanding the provisions of sections 7 and 8, constitute lawful authority to the holder to be in possession of the mammals and birds taken or killed in accordance with the terms and conditions of the permit, and to export the same if the permit so allows.

17. (1) Any person who, without lawful excuse, fails to Offences comply with a requirement of a justice of the peace or honorary penalties, game warden under the provisions of section 15 shall be guilty of an offence and liable to a fine of two hundred and fifty dollars.
(3) Any person who contravenes the provisions of section 5, subsection (1) of section 6 or section 1t shall be guilty of an offence and liable to a fine of two hundred and fifty dollars.
(3) Any person who contravenes the provisions of section 3 or 4, subsection (a) of section 6, or section 7, 8, 9 or 10 shall be guilty of an offence and liable to a fine of five hundred dollars.
18. (r) If any damage is done to growing crops by any Compensa- person, or by his attendants or dogs, while engaged in the pursuit tion for
damage to of game, such person shall be liable to pay to the owner of the crops.
