An Ordinance to make better provision for the conservation of wild birds and wild mammals; and for purposes connected therewith.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice

and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Wild Birds and Wild Short title, Mammals Protection Ordinance, 1954.

2. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires "forest officer" has the meaning attributed to that expression by

section 2 of the Forestry Ordinance;

"game" means any mammal or bird specified in the First Schedule First,

and includes the eggs and young thereof;
