(3) The Registrar General, any Deputy Registrar General and any Legal Assistant appointed under this Ordinance shall be deemed to be legal officers for the purposes of the Legal Officers Ordin- ance and shall have all the rights vested in legal officers by that Ordinance.'
Section 4 of the principal Ordinance is amended→→ (4) by the insertion in the marginal note after the word
"deputies" of the following-
", legal assistants";
(b) by the insertion in the first line of subsection (1) after
the word "deputy" of the following-
"'or legal assistant";
(c) by the insertion in the fourth line of subsection (2) after
the word "General" of the following-
"or Legal Assistant to the Registrar General",
4. The Schedule to the principal Ordinance is amended- (a) by the deletion from the third item of the following
words-
"and Designs";
(b) by the insertion between the description "Official Receiver in Bankruptcy" and the description “Official Trustee" of the following-
"Official Solicitor in Lunacy".

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Asiatic Emigration Short title. (Amendment) Ordinance, 1953.
2. Section a of the Asiatic Emigration Ordinance, 1915. Amendment (hereinafter referred to as the principal Ordinance) is amended of section by the deletion from the second line of paragraph (e) of sub- (30 of section (1) of the words "Harbour Master" and by the sub- 1916). stitution therefor of the following-
"Director of Marine".
