There are therefore to command you the said police officers to take. the defendant and deliver him to the Commissioner together with thia order: and you the said Commissioner to receive the defendant and keep him in your custody in accordance with the provisions of the said Ordinance, and for your so doing this shall be your sufficient warrant,

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-
(1) State the substance of the offence.
(2) Specify the Ordinance and the relevant section,

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Urban Council Short (Amendment) Ordinance, 1953-
title.
2. Section 3 of the Urban Council Ordinance (hereinafter Amendment referred to as the principal Ordinance) is amended-
of section 3. (Cap. 101).
(a) by the deletion in subsection (1) of the words "the Commissioner of Police" in the fourth and fifth lines and the remaining words to the end of the subsection and the substitution therefor of the following-
"the Social Welfare Officer, and not more than ten additional members.";
