ORDINANCE

NEW TERRITORIES ORDINANCE.

(Chapter 97).

RULES MADE BY THE GOVErnor in CouNCIL.

In exercise of the power conferred by section 46 of the New Territories Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following rules-

1. These rules may be cited as the Land Office (N.T.) Fees Citation, (Amendment) Rules, 1952, and shall be read as one with the (Vol. IX, Land Office (N.T.) Fees Rules.

2. Rule 2 of the principal rules is rescinded and replaced Rescission as follows-

The above fees shall be paid to the Land Officer of the at the appropriate New Territories Land Office and he principal shall at the time of payment issue a receipt therefor. In rules. the case of fees paid for the registration of a deed or other instrument the Land Officer shall also certify on the face of such document the amount of fees paid."

Explanatory Note.

Under rule 2 of the Land Office (N.T.) Fees Rules appearing on p.70

of Vol. II of the Revised Edition, 1950, registration fees can only be paid by means of stamps. For the convenience of the members of the public, the said rule has been replaced by a new rule which permits of Myment in manner other than by means of stamps.
