76. The Supervisor shall be responsible for issuing to all teachers letters of appointment which shall set out-

(a) conditions of service;

(b) salary scale; and

(e) conditions of termination of appointment.

77. The Supervisor shall be responsible for ensuring that the salaries of all teachers are paid in full when due.

PART XII.

Holidays.

78. The Supervisor shall send to the Director as soon as is possible in each case notica of all holidays it is intended to give, including any special holidays given in honour of any particular event, and of all dates on which the usual work of the school will be suspended. Such notice shall reach the Director not less than ten days before the intended holi- day.

79. The Director may by notice in writing to the Supervisor forbid the granting of a holiday on any specified day or days and the Supervisor and principal shall thereupon ensure that the usual work of the school is continued on that day or days.

80. The Director may by notice in writing to the Supervisor of any require grant school require that a holiday shall be given on any day specified in such notice and the Supervisor shall ensure that such holiday is given accord- ingly.

PART XIII.

General

81. At or near the entrance to every school there shall be prominently displayed a board or other form of notice bearing in conspicuous lettering the registered name of the school.

82. At the entrance to every classroom there shall be a board or sign bearing an identification number or letter for such room. This number or letter must correspond with the number or latter for the room as shown. on the approved plan.

88. In every classroom there shall be kept exhibited in a prominent place a certificate signed by the Director certifying the maximum number of pupils permitted in that room, and no more than such maximum number shall be permitted in that roomi.

81. Not more than 40 pupils shall be taught at one time by one teacher, except in special cases with the permission of the Director.

88. A separate attendance register in a form approved by the Director shall be kept for each class.

86. All schools shall be provided with apparatus, equipment and general facilities adequate for the courses of instruction to be given.

87. (1) No instruction may be given in any school except in accordance with a syllabus approved by the Director,

(3) The Director may give directions in writing to the Supervisor of any school as to the instruction which shall be or shall not be included in any such syllabus,

91.
