AND WHEREAS by subsection (2) of section 5 of the principal Ordinance it is provided that the Governor may, at any time before the revised edition is approved pursuant to section 7 of the principal Ordinance, by Proclamation make any amendment to the First Schedule to the principal Ordinance ;
AND WHERCAS it is expedient that the First Schedule to the principal Ordinance, which was amended by Proclamation No. 1 of 1951, by the substitution of the Ordinances and Military Proclamations specified in the Schedule thereto in place of the Ordinances specified in the First Schedule to the principal Ordinance, bir amended further;
NOW THEREFORE, I, the said Governor, in exercise of the powers aforesaid proclaim and it is hereby proclaimed that the First Safedule to the principal Ordinance be hereby amended--
(a) by the deletion of the following item-
ar of 1911 Interpretation Ordinance, 1911."; and (b) by the adddion after the item “6 of 1946 Urban Council Transitional, Pravisions) Ordinance, 1945" of the Jollowing

BY HIS EXCELLENCY SIR ALEXANDER WILLIAM GEORGE HERDER GRANTHAM, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice Admiral of the same.
WHEREAS by section a of the Public Reclamation and Typhoon Shelter (Causeway Bay) Ordinance, 1951, the Director of Public Works was authorized provisionally, and subject to the definitive approval of the Governor in Council, to construct the undertakings described in the Schedule hereto consisting of the reclamation or other works of a public nature over and upon unleased Crown foreshore and sea bed:
AND WHEREAS section 5 of the Public Reclamations Validation and Clauses Ordinance, No, 40 of 1936, requires a notification of every such undertaking to be published in every ordinary issue of the Gazette during a period of two months and also by pro- clamation in the Chinese language publicly posted in some suitable place;
