BY HIS EXCELLENCY SIR ALEXANDER WILLIAM GEORGE HERDER GRANTHAM, Koight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same.

WHEREAS by Section 25 of the Compulsory Service Ordinance, 1951, (Ordinance No. 24 of 1951), it is provided that the said Ordinance shall come into force on such day as the Governor in Council may notify by proclamation in the Gasette.

NOW THEREFORE 1, ALEXANDER WILLIAM GEORGE HERDER GRANTHAM, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, do hereby PROCLAIM that the Ordinance shall come into force on the 14th day of September, 1951.
