1.

This Ordinance may be cited as the Public Reclamation and Piers Ordinance, 1951.

2. The Director of Public Works is authorized, provisionally and subject to the definitive approval of the Governor in Council, to construct the undertakings set out in the Schedule.

SCHEDULE

1. A reclamation approximately 388,000 square feet in e abutting Connaught Road Central and bounded to the east by Majesty's Dockyard, to the north by a seawall 935 feet long, to the west by a pitched slope 415 feet long and showe delineated in red upon a plan signed by the Director of Publ Works and dated the 5th day of January, 1951, and deposited

the Land Office.

2. A public pier (approximately So feel long and doo feet wide) and a ferry pier (approximately 350 feet long and 350 feet wide) on the seaward face of the said reclamation and shown, and delineated hatched red upon the said plan.

Passed the Legislative Council of Hong Kong, this 13th day; of June, 1951.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof;

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Public Services Short title. Commission (Amendment) Ordinance, 1951, and shall be read

2. Section 4 of the principal Ordinance is hereby amended Amendment by the deletion of the proviso and the substitution therefor of of section the following-

"Provided that the prohibition hereinbefore contained shall not extend to-

(i) the appointment of a Judge of the Supreme Court

as Chairman; or

(ii) the making of a temporary appointment as Chairman

under subsection (2) of section 3; or
