4. The Corporation shall have full power- (a) to acquire, by purchase, lease exchange or otherwise,

hold and enjoy land, buildings, messuages tenements of what nature or kind soever in the Colony of Hong Kong; (b) to acquire, by purchase or otherwise, vessels, goods and

chattels of what nature or kind soever;

(c) to invest moneys on deposit in any bank in the Colony or in any government bonds or on mortgage of any land, buildings, messuages or tenements in the Colony, or in or

on debenture, debenture-stocks, stocks, funds, shares or securities of any corporation or company carrying on business in the Colony: (d) to grant, self, convey, assign, surrender, yield up mortgage, demise, let, reassign, transfer or otherwise dispose of, any land, or buildings, messuages, tenements, mortgages, debentures, debenture-stock, funds, securities, vessels, goods and chattels for the tire being vested in the Society, upon such terms as the Society may deem fit; (e) to erect any buildings messuages or tenements and effect

any improvement thereto;

(f) to borrow money upon such terms as the Society shall think fit, and to raise money by public or private subscription;

(g) to enter into any agreement and engage any contractor:

(b) generally to do such other things as may appear to be incidental or conducive to the aims and objects of the Corporation as provided by its constitution, or the pur poses aforesaid or any of them.

5. The land, buildings, messuages and tenements in the Colony belonging or purporting to belong to the unincorporated Hong Kong Housing Society, and all moneys, securities for money, goods, chattels, and effects whatsoever the property of the unincorporated Hong Kong Housing Society or purporting so to be are hereby transferred to and vested in the Corporation, but subject as regards the said land, buildings, messuages and; tenements, to the payment of the rents and observance and performance of all the covenants, conditions, and reservations contained in the Crown Lease under which the same arc respectively held.
