(a) a force headquarters to be known as Force Headquarters comprising the Commandant and his staff together with the following sub-units-
(i) a Depot, and

(ii) a Pay and Records Section;
and the Commandant shall be the appropriate Service Commander of Force Headquarters.
(6) a naval unit to be known as the Hong Kong Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve and the officer for the lime being discharging the duties of the Commodore, Hoag Kong, shall be the appropriate Service Commander thereof;
(c) a military unit to be known as the Hong Kong Regimen
which shall consist of the following sub-units—
(i) an Artillery Battery, comprising a Gunnery Troop and a Control and Reporting Troop;
(ii) one or more Infantry Battalions; (iii) an Intelligence Unit;
and the officer for the time being discharging the duties of the General or other Officer Commanding, Land Forces, Hong Kong, shall be the appropriate Service Commander thereof;
(d) an air force unit to be known as the Hong Kong Auxiliary Air Force and the officer for the time being discharging the duties of the Air Officer Commanding, Royal Air Force, Hong Kong, shall be the appropriate Service Commander thereof;
(e) an auxiliary military unit to be known as the Hong Kong Home Guard and the officer for the time being discharg ing the duties of General or other Officer Commanding Land Forces, Hong Kong, shall be the appropriate Service Commander thereof;
() a women's naval unit to be known as the Hong Kong
Women's Naval Reserve and the officer for the time: being discharging the duties of the Commodore, Hong Kong, shall be the appropriate Service Commander
thereof;
(g) a women's military unit to be known as the Hong Kong Women's Auxiliary Army Corps and the General of other Officer Commanding, Land Forces, Hong Kong, shall be the appropriate Service Commander thereof;
(k) a women's air force unit to be known as the Hong Kong Women's Auxiliary Air Force and the officer for the time being discharging the duties of the Air Officer Commanding, Royal Air Force, Hong Kong, shall be the appropriate Service Commander thereof.

The officers of the Force shall be selected on merit and Com-
missioned persons of any nationality may hold a commission therein. officers. Officers shall be commissioned by the Governor on the recom- mendation of the appropriate Service Commander and no such commission shall be deemed to be vacated by the death or retire ment from office of the Governor by whom the commission was granted.
7. (1) it shall be lawful for the Governor in Council if he is Liability satisfied that such a course is in the interests of the Colony to order för service outside the Colony any officer or member of the Force : Provided-
(a) that no such order shall be made in respect of an officer
or member of the Home Guard; and
(b) that no such order shall be made in respect of any member unless such member shall on enrolment in the Force or prior to any such order have declared in writing that he is willing to serve outside the limits of the Colony if so ordered.
(2) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (1) the Service Commander may order any member other than a member of the Home Guard to take part outside the limits of the Culany in any operations which he is satisfied are or will be necessary ur expedient for the immediate defence of the Colony.
(3) Nothing in this section shall apply to the Naval Reserve.
