such contraventions thereof as may be specified shall constitute an offence and may provide for the punish ment of any such offence on summary conviction by a fine of one thousand dollars and by imprisonment for a term of six months.

(2) Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing such regulations may provide for the revocation or cancellation: of any registration licence pass or other authorization to bej effected or granted thereunder.

(3) The regulations in the Second Schedule shall be deemed to have been made under subsection (1) and shall continue in force except in so far as they may be rescinded or amended by regulations made under subsection (1).

17. (1) Every person who commits an offence against this Ordinance shall-

(a) upon summary conviction be liable to a fine of two thousand dollars and to imprisonment for one year; and (b) upon conviction on indictment be liable to a fine of ten

thousand dollars and to imprisonment for three years.

4.
