THE EMERGENCY REGULATIONS ORINANCE, 1922,
REGULATIONS BY THE GOVernor in CoUNCIL.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section a of the Emergency Regulations Ordinance, 1922, as amended by the Emergency Regulations (Amendment) Ordinance, 1949, and by the Emergency Regulations (Amendment) (No. 2) Ordinance, 1940, the Governor in Council hereby makes the following regulations-
REGULATIONS.
1. These regulations may be cited as the Emergency (Arms Citation, and Ammunition Ordinance, 1933) (Amendment) Regulations,
1950.

In these regulations-
"essential service" has the meaning assigned to it in regulation 2 of the principal regulations;
"a member of the Corps" means a person who has enrolled in the Essential Services Corps established under the Essential Services Corps Ordinance, 1949, and whose enrolment has not been cancelled;
"authority" means the Commissioner of the Essential Services Corps;
*principal Ordinance" means the Arms and Ammunition Ordinance, 1933;
"principal regulations" means the Emergency (Principal) Regulations, 1949.
3. Section 2(d) of the principal Ordinance is hereby amended by the addition thereto of the following paragraph as paragraph
iv
"(iv) Any person who is a member of the Corps or who is a member of an essential service in respect only of arms issued to him by the Commissioner of Police on the recom- mendation of the authority and subject to the terms of any conditions imposed upon such issue by the Commissioner of Pulice."
